Hong Kong – Christie’s Handbags & Accessories Spring Sale totalled HK$37,493,750/US$4,836,701.
The top lot of the sale (illustrated above) was an Exceptional, Matte White Himalaya Niloticus Crocodile Diamond Birkin 30 with 18K White Gold & Diamond Hardware, Hermès, 2014, achieving HK$2,940,000/ US$379,261 against its pre-sale estimates of HK$ 1,500,000 – HKD 2,000,000/ USD 193,432 – USD 257,909, and setting a new world record price for any handbag sold at auction.
